Whether you're looking to head to Miami Beach for all the Spring Break action in March, or trying to take advantage of the shoulder season prices in February or April, now is the perfect time to plan an impromptu vacation to the Fun Capital of the World. The influx of young people in early March, along with all the events and activities that are held to sate their appetites, make for a rambunctious city-wide party to partake in. Whereas their absence the prior and following months will make the city much more tame, with more affordable pricing for tourists. Whichever way you want to enjoy the Beach, we’ve got a handy guide to help you through your Miami Beach vacation!
Last-Minute Flights to Miami

If you want to visit Miami Beach for Spring Break, hopefully you have your flight tickets already purchased, as the price will only increase as the date comes closer. That is because it is very uncommon for prices to come down as any busy season approaches. For anyone looking for a last-minute flight to Miami outside of the busy season, you may still be in luck. To keep an eye out for price drops, you can sign up for GoLastMinute fare alerts anytime you complete a flight search, and you will get the latest pricing sent right to your inbox. Then if you see a good price, you can book right away and plan your last-minute vacation around the deals. Prices drop when demand is low, so it is likely that hotel prices will be lower the same time flight prices drop!
Where to Stay

There are a few factors to consider when choosing a hotel, and there is no one answer that is going to be best for anyone. It is going to depend on three main factors: location, amenities, and budget. It may be convenient to pick a hotel near the airport, but then you will have to travel farther to get to the beach. It may seem like a good idea to get a hotel right on the beach, but then you will likely be paying much more. As for amenities, it may be nice to get that extra luxury, but is it worth paying for when you will likely be spending most of your time outside of the hotel?
There are a few places in Miami Beach that strike a good balance of being quality hotels, close to the beach, and at a good price. The Residences on Ocean Drive by Roami, Renzzi on the Beach, and Starlite Hotel are all well rated establishments not far from South Beach. Or you could look at Beach Place Hotel or Ocean Spray Hotel for something closer to North Beach. North Beach tends to be quieter than South Beach, whereas South Beach has a more active nightlife, so consider that as well when making your decision.
Local Beaches

The roughly 10-mile stretch of beach along the Atlantic Ocean is divided into 3 sections: North Beach, Mid Beach, and South Beach. The general rule is that the further North you go, the quiet things get. That makes North Beach a good choice for people who like to keep to themselves or want a lot of room to stretch out. That said, if you are visiting for Spring Break, you will likely still find a pretty good crowd there.
South Beach is the more famous of the beaches, offering a lot of activity and a vibrant nightlife for tourists to enjoy. This isn’t just a more active beach, but a bustling hub of commerce, with bars, restaurants, and other venues . This is also the location of Lummus Park, which offers areas for volleyball, biking, skating, outdoor workouts, and leisurely strolls. Whether you're here for Spring Break or not, you can expect to find a lot of young people here hanging out, partying, or just relaxing in the sun. If you came to Miami Beach to party, then South Beach is the beach for you!
