Last year, we brought you around the world for some of the best places to get stunning pics for your social media with our list of the Holy Grails of Grammability. Anyone can take a trip to the Grand Canyon or Niagara Falls and snap a few pics, but to really boost your clout, you’ve gotta travel to places more unbelievable, more otherworldly, and more exotic than you would find on a typical family vacation. To help you boost your socials and realize your dream of making it as a travel influencer, we’ve got 7 more locales that are sure to shoot your follower count past the moon and straight to the sun!
Iguazú Falls, Argentina and Brazil

While the magnificence of places like Niagara Falls can’t be denied, there’s something to be said for Iguazú Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil, which has a much more dynamic appearance. Cascading falls roll over tiered steps with lush rainforest poking out among the rolling water. You can see these falls from either side by going through Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil or Puerto Iguazú in Argentina. The local legend of the falls is that they were created by a scorned deity who wanted to drop the woman he wanted to marry and her lover as they were escaping in a canoe. Talk about an overreaction!
Railay West Beach, Thailand

If you’ve seen the Garden of the Gods in Colorado, then you have an idea of what Railay West Beach is like. The difference is that the mountainous rocks here contrast against a stunning jade lagoon and are covered in plant life. This area is only reachable by boat, adding to the impressiveness of getting a pic here. This is a favorite spot for rock climbers, so if you are able to ascend the jagged cliffs, it will elevate your photography. Literally and figuratively!
Whitehaven Beach, Australia

You will find stunning landscapes all over Australia, but Whitehaven Beach stands out as a place that looks so heavenly as to be out of this world. Pure silica sands give off a blinding glow in the sunlight, with the blue-green waters of the ocean combining to make the perfect backdrop or focus for your photos. Run through the sand, wade into the water, stare contemplatively at the sky; any pose you do for your pics will look like a deep and meaningful work of art when it's on this mystical beach!
Uyuni Salt Flat, Bolivia

The Uyuni Salt Flat in Bolivia is the largest salt flat in the world, covering 4,000 square miles. The endless sea of white under a sunny sky is already great for photography, but it is even better after rain. From December to April, rain falls consistently and gives the surface a mirror-like quality. Any direction you look, you will see the sky reflected on the ground for miles. Getting here when the weather is perfect is the trick to getting the best pics, so be careful when you plan your trip.
Zhangye National Geopark, China

This truly baffling geological phenomenon looks like someone intentionally gave the rocks a paint job, but in fact it is caused by millions of years of sediment deposits being exposed by tectonic collisions. The result is a gorgeous and unbelievable landscape of gradient orange, brown, and cream colored mountains. Boardwalks through the park allow visitors to view the magnificent colors without having to hike through rugged terrain. Grab a couple pics of these otherworldly rocks, and your followers will think you’ve traveled to another planet!
Francois Peron National Park

Another magnificent offering from Australia, Francois Peron National Park is on a peninsula at the westernmost point of the continent. The land is covered in red and orange earth, with beaches and pools offering a natural contrast that is awe-inspiring to behold. This is also where you’ll find Shark Bay, which has one of the biggest beds of seagrass in the world. But what you’ll really want to capture is the fields of stromatolites, which are prehistoric rock structures that scientists believe were created by the microbes that created the oxygen that makes our existence possible. Much about these rocks is still unknown, but posting about them will definitely raise your scientific credibility!
Vatnajökull National Park

Iceland is a wonderland of stark, but stunning landscapes, and Vatnajökull National Park is one of the best examples of how beautiful they can be. This place is over 14,000 square kilometers big, so there are tons of places that you can hunt for the perfect photo opp. Throughout the park, you’ll find caves, calderas, glaciers, rivers, and so much more. But for the absolute perfect pic, you’ll want to check out Svartifoss, the waterfall pictured above. It rolls over a geologically confounding wall of hexagonal rocks formed from volcanic lava. It’s hard to imagine a more epic spot to grab a selfie!
